LOL… Pinterest a must? Yes, I guess it sure seems like it’s become one of the basic needs. (he, he) Patience, though. I’ve had people (lots of people) use patience as the #1 reason they DON’T homeschool. That’s sad. No. Patience is something the Lord WILL work into your life through homeschooling. Jump in and have fun! When you start to get frustrated or overwhelmed, stop and breath. Sit in the floor and play with the children for a bit. Enjoy the Adventure! Great post Sharla!

Having just completed our first homeschool year, I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate this list. I’m getting a lot out of reading your homeschool posts. This year was very “all business” with 3 grade levels + a toddler, so next year, I definitely need to incorporate more fun & crafts.

We started using SOTW this year, and my oldest keeps telling me how much he loves it. I think he wants to be sure that I don’t change our history curriculum. 😉

Wonderful list. Number 10 definitely is a must have. Without flexibility there would be way too much stress, for sure.

Great list! The Bible is another one of our musts, but I didn’t list it because I sort of feel, just like books, it’s a given. I hadn’t thought about Pinterest as a must for homeschooling before, but you can sure get a lot of great ideas there! Love that!
