In reply to Lesley. Lesley, I just cut slits on either side of the tp rolls before I gave them to the kids. I think I cut a slit about 2 inches down. Hope that helps.

A quick question – how did you put the slits in the cardboard rolls for the trees? We are planning to do a similar activity soon with Christmas trees.

It looks like they had a great week! I like your workbox theme idea. Pretty neat! We have yet to try workboxes but something like that would be fun if my guys were younger. 🙂

I love the apple trees, I think my daughter would enjoy those and the best part is we already have the supplies!
